Leaping X-Files

I received this story on 3/27/97 from Alan Hickerson, a co-worker, who likes to write little scenes from different shows or combination of shows. These things never happened, but maybe, could have. There are referances to three different shows and/or movies. The first two are obvious. Good luck.

Leaping X-Files

The redheaded woman stirred. Her hair somewhat tangled and disarranged. She could hear something approaching.

"Sam! Sam, darling wake up there is a helicopter coming.", she said.

The brown haired man groggily awoke and finally after clearing the sand from his eyes spoke. "You are not going to beleive this dream I had. We had just escaped from the cigarette boat and turned into this cove. We struck the reef and fell into the water. When I woke up, I was in this large white room, I'm sure it was a hospital or lab or someplace like that. There was a man named Gushman and a woman named Ziggy, that I never saw, but who spoke over the intercom. I think I was there about ten days. It seemed very real to me." He paused, "Why are you looking at me like that? Scully?".

At the sound of her name, Agent Dana Scully gasped, and spoke quickly. "NOW, I remember everything. When we fell out of the boat, I hit my head and lost my memory. I woke up when the man carried me onto the beach. He looked exactly like you Mulder, he could have been your twin. I didn't know who I was and he said his name was Sam Beckett. He called me Annie and I called him Sam. But that was two weeks ago. He claimed to be a scientist, but his ideas were more theoretical than practical. We gathered food and water and lived here together. We were lovers. He said he would leap soon. I don't know what that means. Yesterday, he had several sunburn blisters and you don't even have a sunburn.". Mulder said, "We better catch that helicopter's attention."...

From Agent Scully's Report.

We still don't know why Agent Mulder's memory differs from mine. My only conclusion is that I suffered a delusion during the ordeal. The fetus I'm carrying has however added more complexity to the case because Agent Mulder failed the paternity tests. Who ever this mysterious impostor was I don't know.

Cancer Man put the report down and picked up his dictaphone: "Note: Make sure Dr. Samuel Beckett's program get's funded. The possibilities are enormous."

For any of you X-Files X-philes, this story was written and given to me prior to Fox airing an episode of X-Files on 4/20/97. This episode was about a man, Eddie, who had the ability to change his features. During the second half of the show, Eddie takes the form of Agent Fox Meulder and, after rooting around and making some choice comments about Fox's life, he comes on to Scully and tries to get to know her "better". It's all purely coincidental, or so I'm told... profit, but rather the enjoyment, and hopefully enhansement of the stories.
