In the 41st century, mankind has achieved space travel and colonized space.
The final frontier may be quiet, but is not so peaceful.
In space, no one can hear you scream...

I've been collecting the models for 40K for a quite few years now. At first, modeling and painting 40K figures was an extention of my other hobby: O gauge trains. It just so happens that Warhammer figures are almost O guage scale. I felt that my train set needed a population to service. The town just didn't look right without a population and activity.
About the same time I felt the town was a bit lonely, I started playing Necromunda. I built and industrial section and populated with Necromundian buildings and set up a firefight. Shortly there after, I discovered Warhammer 40K and the myrid of races and figures. I started collecting the figures for modeling purposes. At the time, I still hadn't played a single game of 40K and this was 3 years after I had discoved Necromunda....
Now I've got a Space Marine, Imperial Guard and Tyranid army I can field. Somehow through the years I've got various Eldar, Dark Eldar and Necrons mixed in, but not enough to call an army. I also went from one 4'x8' train table at my old house, to three 4'x8' tables in my new Wreck room. 2 tables are for displaying my train set, populated by Warhammer Fantasy models (Bretonians, Wood Elves and Undead). The third table is dedicated to Warhammer 40k and other table top games.

My Space Marines : Bloodraven Chapter. I play these guys with the regular Space Marines rules.

My Imperial Guard. Because the Imperial Guard is infantry heavy, I recruited DeLaque and Van Saar gangers from Necromunda to fill out the ranks..
